We supported the fitting of the 12 metre greenheart heel post timbers to the renovated dock-gates before shaping them to a 340mm radius. We delivered the finished sections to a tolerance of +/-0.5mm along the length and across the profile.

Consultancy and then the fitting, fastening and shaping of 10 metre greenheart heel posts, 10m ekki mitre timbers and fitting and levelling of clapping cill rubber seals. We also fitted 300 x 300mm douglas fir fender timbers to the gates themselves.

We are currently working with Seaham Harbour and GV Engineering Ltd on the restoration of the Outer Gates at Seaham. In Summer 2025 we will be surveying the gates and specify timber sections and drilling patterns before returning in the Autumn to fit, fasten and shape Heel Posts, Mitres and clapping cill timbers and to fit 300 x 300mm timber fendering.
